Grants

On June 17th, 2024, I had the opportunity to meet and speak at the Sharon Rotary Club. Prior to the presentation, I had the privilege of meeting with the Rotary Clubs Past President, Jane Desberg, the President-Elect and Secretary, Monica Zgola, and the Membership Chair, Dave Clifton. There, I presented about my work with Matanya's Hope in supporting underprivileged children and communities in Kenya. I requested for two grants -

1) $500 Grant - This grant will be used to buy two wheel chairs for two children named Lenkanasa Nchoe and Saitabail Nchoe who live in extreme poverty in the village, Olooriri Village.

2) $700 Grant - I have successfully established a year-round porridge program, however, at the time of requesting for the grant, a kitchen shelter is essential in keeping groceries safely and food cooked for 370 students. This grant will be used to construct a kitchen shelter to support the porridge program.

On June 24th, 2024, the Rotary Club of Sharon as a group, unanimously voted to approve both the $500 and the $700 grant.
