About the students

During my visit to the Nkasioki Primary School, I had seen several of the children and observed some of the personal challenges that these kids faced. Furthermore, I met the 19 most needy children of this school and I provided them with basic essentials they did not have (including socks, underwear’s, shoes, vegetables, soap, books, and rice). These kids in this school did not have socks or shoes, had insufficient clothing including underwear, lack of soap, food, and clean water.

Other than challenges faced in the school, they have also had struggles in their homes while trying to support their families. From a young age they would have to walk miles to get water to provide for their families. In addition, they would have to help out in raising cattle’s, take care of younger siblings, trying to find work to support their family with financial needs, etc. Most of the kids have to finish all their daily tasks until nighttime. Masai villages do not have electricity as a result their households do not even have light during the nighttime. Therefore, it is a struggle for these kids to study or finish their homework after completing all their tasks. Having light in these households is important for them. While visiting Moseka’s household, I found it difficult to even stay inside the house for five minutes.

These children are brilliant and have equivalent potential as kids in any privileged society, however if they are not sponsored, they cannot accomplish their desired dreams in the future. Sponsoring a child will include paying children schools’ fees for a year, paying for their school clothes, daily diet and hygene needs, providing them with any essential supplies they may lack, etc. Everyone’s future is as important as ours and they would be immensely benefited if you would considering sponsor them.
